Heathrow to Hong Kong

Ok, i know that Tj and i should really have put more info on the blog before we left but those of you that know us well, will understand that time was always against us.

After a fond farewell from Lucy and Adi ( i would like to thank them for everything they have done and will do for us on this trip, we couldn't have done it with out you, Thanks) we boarded the plane with our little stow away, Ziggy the Zebra( a little parting gift from the smiths, you may see a lot of him on the blog) and sat in our premium economy seats. I have to say if i could afford it i would only fly premium or upper as the experience was wonderful, so much so slept for about 8 of the 12 hours it took to get to Hong Kong.

The first thing for me was the heat and humidity as i stepped off the plane, i knew it was going to be warm but 32C is just a bit too much. Once we had collected our bags we headed to the airport express train, after a 20 min train ride we arrived at Kowloon Train station and got a cab to the hotel, the taxi driver spoke no English but after a lot of pointing he said "ahh Yes" and we headed off.

We sorted ourselves out, had a quick shower and headed in to town to get a bite to eat. Hong Kong is everything i thought it would be, very busy even at night, lots of neon lights and gadgets everywhere. We wondered down to the Ladies Market, every stall sells fake designer watches, "You like copy watch". We stopped and had a meal in a little restaurant, Tj insisted on having noodles but it was good food. We carried on and found Nathan Street also known as the Golden Mile, so many shops.

Finally we found our way back to the hotel, Tj said lets write the blog, so i have as she has fallen asleep.

Hey Mr & Mrs to be ...

Glad your having a great time so far... wish I had stowed away instead of Ziggy !!! :-) Dont forget to have a look for Geek Stuff, camera for us and anything for Adam.

I seem to have a new best friend, that wants to go everywhere with me, and she jumps up and down like a Kangaroo everytime she see's me ! and has even been out on a 10 mile bike ride with me and the boys, in the bike trailer... sitting in the 'boot' area looking out the side with her ears flapping in the wind, and even sitting in with the boys, letting Charlie hold her tail, and Dan stroke her nose... Good Ol Pheobie :-)

She sniffs all of your stuff in the house, and even jumps up to see if your in your car ! But i think that shes quite liking life with the Smiths.

Take care & see you soon.

Adi, Lucy and the Boys

How typical that TJ would leave you to write the blog while she sleeps, lol. I'm glad you're okay and got there safe. Don't spend all your money on gadgets before you've even got going. They may be smaller and more techy than what you've got, but restrain yourself!!!
